How it works

Three steps, one rack

  1. Snap it

Take a clear front photo of the garment, plus the tag if it has one. Snap a whole rack at once.

  2. Get a verdict

Sellable reads the brand, condition and style, then calls it Buy, Maybe or Pass — with the reasons spelled out.

  3. List with confidence

See an estimated resale range. On Ultra, get a ready-to-paste listing and hashtags built for your item.

The three calls

Buy, Maybe, Pass

Every item gets one verdict, so you can move fast through a rack.

Buy — strong resale pull with room between your cost and the estimated range. Grab it.

Maybe — it can sell, but the numbers are tighter or the style is slower. Check the breakdown.

Pass — thin margins or weak demand right now. Leave it on the rack.

How Sellable estimates prices

A range, not a promise

  • 1. Recognize the item. AI reads your photos for brand, garment type, material, condition and style cues — and the tag, if you include it.
  • 2. Check current listings. It looks up comparable items listed for sale right now and shows them in the breakdown when it finds matches.
  • 3. Give an estimated resale range. It weighs demand, era, condition and how crowded the market is, then explains the call.

What it can’t tell from a photo

  • Authenticity. Sellable can’t verify if designer pieces are real — check that yourself.
  • Era without a tag. Dating a piece is a best guess when there’s no tag to read.
  • Hidden flaws. Stains, odors or damage that aren’t in the photo won’t be counted.

FAQ

Quick answers

Still stuck? Email us — a real person replies.

How accurate is it?+

Best on branded items with a clear tag photo — that's where the estimated range is tightest. It's weaker on no-name pieces, and it always shows its uncertainty so you know when to trust your own eye.

Is the price guaranteed?+

No. It's an estimated resale range to help you decide at the rack — actual sale prices depend on condition, timing, photos and the app you list on.

What if I run out of scans mid-haul?+

Grab a $4.99 scan pack (25 scans) right from the plans page — it stacks on top of whatever you have left and never expires.

Does Sellable post to Depop, Grailed or other apps?+

No. Sellable isn't connected to any selling app. It helps you decide what to buy and gives you listing text you can copy wherever you sell.

What counts as a scan?+

One garment = one scan. A front photo plus its tag photo count as a single item.

What happens to my photos?+

Photos are only used to analyze your item. See the Privacy page for details.

Can I cancel anytime?+

Yes. Memberships are monthly and scan packs never expire.
