Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Account and support information: your email address and information you choose to provide when creating an account or contacting us.

Uploaded content and results: front and tag photos of clothing, optional size information, generated verdicts and resale ranges, and your keep or pass choices.

Billing information: Stripe collects and processes your payment details when you make a purchase. Sellable receives limited transaction information, such as the product or plan purchased, payment status, customer identifier, and billing email, but not your full card number.

Usage and technical information: scan usage and basic technical information that our hosting, security, and payment providers automatically receive, such as IP address, browser or device type, and request logs.

Local browser data: Sellable uses browser storage to remember your sign-in state, plan, scan count, and in-progress app state on that device.

2. How we use information

• Provide the Service, analyze uploaded items, and generate results.
• Manage accounts, apply scan limits, and process purchases.
• Secure the Service and prevent fraud, abuse, and attempts to bypass limits.
• Respond to support, privacy, billing, and account requests.
• Diagnose problems and improve the Service using aggregated or de-identified information, not uploaded photos.
• Comply with law and protect our rights and users.

3. AI and comparable-listing processing

When you request an analysis, Sellable sends the garment photos and any size information you provided through the Lovable AI Gateway to OpenAI for automated image analysis. Requests are configured not to store the AI response. We do not use your photos to train Sellable’s own AI models. Provider handling is also governed by the applicable provider terms and privacy commitments.

After an item is recognized, Sellable may send a text search based on the item description to Shopify’s Global Catalog to find current comparable listings. The garment photo itself is not sent with that comparable-listing search.

AI results are automated, may be inaccurate, and are not used to make legal or similarly significant decisions about you.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:

• Service providers that support hosting, security, AI processing, comparable-listing search, payments, and customer support, including Lovable, OpenAI, Shopify, and Stripe, as applicable.
• Government authorities or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and security.
• A buyer, investor, or successor in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of the business, subject to applicable law.
• Other parties with your consent or at your direction.

5. Retention

Sellable does not intentionally save uploaded garment photos to a permanent Sellable photo library. Photos are sent for analysis when you request a result, and the current app keeps working copies only in the browser session. Clearing your browser data removes locally stored Sellable data on that device.

Service providers may keep limited request, security, or transaction records under their own retention policies. Stripe retains payment records as required for payment, tax, fraud-prevention, and legal purposes. We keep support communications and records needed for legal, tax, security, and dispute purposes for as long as reasonably necessary.

6. Your choices and rights

You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information controlled by Sellable by emailing usesellable@gmail.com. Clearing your browser data removes Sellable information stored locally on that device. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; appeal a refused request; or opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. Sellable does not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. You will not be discriminated against for exercising applicable privacy rights.

7. Cookies and browser storage

Sellable currently uses browser storage and technologies necessary to run the Service and checkout. We do not currently use advertising cookies. Stripe and other service providers may use their own necessary technologies when you interact with their services. Blocking essential storage may prevent parts of Sellable from working.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a security incident affects your information, we will provide notice when required by law.

9. Children

The Service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13, or a higher minimum age where required. If you believe a child provided information to Sellable, contact us so we can address it.

10. International users

Sellable is based in the United States, and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Those countries may have different data-protection laws from where you live. We do not currently target the Service to users outside the United States.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. If a change is material, we will provide notice by email, in the Service, or by another reasonable method. The effective date above shows when this policy was last updated.
